We welcome Themiya Ambalangoda Perera a new PhD student in the Pliotas group. Themiya will investigate G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) dynamics and their allosteric inhibition by PELDOR/DEER spectroscopy. To this end, he will use EPR spectroscopy and computational modelling to address GPCRs motions under different stimuli and ligands at a molecular detail. Themiya is funded by a BBSRC-DTP CASE studentship in collaboration with Z7 Biotech, an industrial partner who specialises in human GPCR protein expression.
