4-year PhD studentship on the structure and function of membrane proteins
A new PhD fully funded (stipend and fees included) project is now available in Dr Pliotas group. The project will involve the application of advanced methods such as x-ray crystallography (hanging drop and lipid cubic phase), pulsed Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) (PELDOR or DEER) spectroscopy and single molecule electrophysiology to elucidate the gating mechanism of integral membrane proteins.
