Firbush retreat

, Author

The annual BSRC research retreat took place at the Firbush outdoor activities centre on the banks of Loch Tay in late August.

The Pliotas group along with PI’s, post-docs and postgraduates from three of the four Schools in the BSRC enjoyed a mix of excellent weather and scientific talks interspersed with sailing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and hill walking. Colin Palmer, Professor of Pharmacogenomics at the University of Dundee, delivered the plenary guest lecture on “Delivering precision medicine through the linkage of genomics to electronic health records” and there were additional talks on careers in science from Marcus Bischoff and Christos Pliotas.
