In our collaborative paper published today in ACS Synthetic Biology, we used PELDOR/DEER to assess correct folding, oligomerization and conformation in pro- and eu-karyotic membrane proteins (including mechanosenstive ion channels and GPCRs), expressed in engineered to control cell toxicity, bacterial strains.
